Malam Hassan Dalhat was born in the 1942 in Anguwan Kakaki Zaria City. He started his education at Zaria Middle School from 1953 to 1955 and he moved to Katsina Teacher’s College from 1956 to 1958 where he obtained a Grade II Teacher’s Certificate. He later joined the Nigerian Railway Traffic Training School, Zaria and worked as a staff after passing out from the school in 1964. By 1977, he went to Kaduna Polytechnic where he acquired a Diploma Certificate in Management Studies.
He started his service with the Kaduna State Government as Assistant Executive Officer General (A.E.O) and was promoted to Executive Officer in the June 1978. By April 1984, he became the Senior Executive Officer on Grade Level 09. In that same year he went back to school for additional certificate and he obtained an Advanced Diploma Certificate in Public Administration (ADPA) from Ahmadu Bello University, which he completed in 1986. And then he was promoted to Principal Executive Officer Grade Level 10 effective April 1986. He was later posted to the Government House of Kaduna State as Acting Principal Administrative Officer on Grade Level 12 with effective from 17th December 1987. And by July 1989, he was promoted to Assistant Chief Personal Officer on Grade Level 12 effective from July 1989 then later to Grade Level 13 as Assistant Director of Personnel and subsequently he was promoted to Director of Personnel on Grade Level 14 effect from January 1996.
Mallam Hassan retired from service at the Kaduna State Government as Assistant Director of Administration and Finance in July 1999 after working for 35 years.
On the 30th December 2011, his Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Shehu Idris CFR confirmed Mallam Hassan Dalhat as the District Head of Sabon Birnin Daji. Igabi Local Government with the title of Cigarin Zazzau. Retired as Sabon Birnin Daji Fief Holder on 19th May, 2018.
