DAN KADEN ZAZZAU

Alhaji Jibril Muhammad was born in 1938 at house Q3 Kano Road, Kaduna. He obtained both his Elementary and Arabic Education in Kaduna. He also attended an intensive Course as a Driver and Mechanic at the Public Works Department Mechanical Workshop Kaduna in 1957 and graduated in 1958 and he was issued a certificate by the then Federal Ministry of Labour in 1971. He then accepted an appointment with the Ministry of Health where he served for 5 years and retired voluntarily in 1976.
In that same year, he contested for a Councilor and also a member of the General Purpose Committee in Kaduna North Local Government. In 1979, he was elected for member of Kaduna State House of Assembly and at the same time he was appointed as the Chairman of Parastatal Committee. He became a member of Committee on Education, Trade and also member on committee on Scholarship all on the platform of Kaduna State House of Assembly.
In 1982, he was elected as a member of the Common Wealth Parliamentary Association of Kaduna State House of Assembly, re-elected for second term under His Excellency Alhaji Lawal Kaita regime.
Alhaji Jibril was appointed as the Director of Co-operative Bank which he held from 1983 to 1984.
After the death of his brother, Alhaji Usman Sukola, the then Sarkin Zango he was appointed as to inherit the office from 1984 to 1992. He was also appointed as the District Head of Gabasawa following the death of his brother, Alhaji Garba Muhammad by His Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Shehu Idris CFR 1992 to 19th May, 2018 inwhich he Retired as Gabasawa Fief Holder. But still bear’s  the title of Dankaden Zazzau.
As a former District Head, he has served under various committee amongst which are; Rent Tribunal Review Committee under Col, Jaafaru Isa, Chairman Cemetery Expansion Committee, Kaduna North Local Government, Member of Jama’atu College of Education and Chairman of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Kaduna North Primary Schools.
He was also appointed/assigned by His Highness the Emir of Zazzau to serve as a Polio Immunization Focal Person of Kaduna North Local Government.
