Wakilin Fulanin Zazzau Alhaji Muhammad Buhari Abdu was born in Rimin Tsiwa Zaria City on 15th November 1957.
He started primary in the year 1964 where he attended several primary schools that include L.E.A Primary School Lemu, Zaria City, L.E.A Primary School, Pada and L.E.A Primary School Babban Dodo, Zaria City. He then went to Government Secondary School, Zaria from 1971 to 1975 where he obtained a WAEC certificate. In 1977, he attended the College of Animal Health/Husbandry in Bauchi State and was awarded an Ordinary National Diploma in Animal Health Husbandry (OND). He further went to the National Veterinary Research Institute, VOM Plateau State and he acquired a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Health/Husbandry in 1984. And he also obtained a certificate in Administrative Management from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, Topo Badagry in 2004.
Alhaji Mohammad had attended various workshops and seminars in both within and outside of his study. These include; Regional Workshop on Rural Development, Education for Cattle Rearers and Farmers on Road Accident Prevention Workshop, Technologies for Sustainable Development for Rural Areas and Seminar for Sustainable Forest Management for Community Development amongst others.
At the early stage of his service to community in 1975, started from a junior level as a Livestock Assistant on Grade Level 03 to the Rank of Deputy Director Agricultural/Natural Resources on Grade Level 15 in 2003 under the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture. During his service, he worked in different places within the field of his study and he had showed good conduct and commitment to his work in every position he ever held.
In 2004, he was appointed as Secretary To Development Area by the Kaduna State Government, he was also a two-time Acting Area Administrator from April 2007 to July 2010. And he retired from service after 35 years on 22nd July 2010.
He was turbaned as the Wakilin Fulanin Zazzau and appointed as the senior District Head of Maigana on 14th October 2010 and retired by 2018. by His Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris CFR.
Even after is appointment as District Head, he remained the District Head’s Focal Person Monitoring and Supervising Polio Activities, Soba Local Government since 2011 after retiring from being the representative of the Emir of Zazzau on Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) under Kaduna State Public Enlightenment Committee from 2006 to 2009.
