Wazirin Zazzau Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Aminu was born in Gangara District of Giwa Local Government Area on 19th March 1948. He started primary school in 1957 at Kuyanbana Primary School Zaria. He went to Commercial College for his secondary school from 1964 to 1968, Federal Training Centre, Kaduna from 1972 to 1973, Kaduna State Polytechnic from the year 1975 to 1982. In 1989 he went to the school of Public Policy at the University of Birmingham. And in 1990 he studied Local Government at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also attended the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) in 2002 where he obtained an advanced Financial Management Course.
Alhaji Ibrahim has also attended many workshops and seminars that include; Seminar on Effective Financial Management in Local Government Administration in 1991, National Workshop on Budgetting And Budget Implementation in 1996, National Programme on Immunization in Nigeria, 2001.

He received a National Financial Management Merit Award (NFMA) (CPFA) in 1993.
His working experience started in 1973 where he started as a District Scribe Zaria da Kewaye, Clerical Officer Account Zaria Local Government from 1975 to 1976, Asst. executive Account Zaria Local Government, Executive Officer Account Zaria Local Government 1980 to 1982. From 1982 he became Higher Executive Officer Account Zaria Local Government to 1985. He also served as a treasurer in different Local Governments starting from Ikara Local Government, Soba, Makarfi, Kaduna North Local Government, Kubau, Kajuru, Birnin Gwari, Sabon-Gari, Jaba and again at Makarfi Local Government respectively, within the years of 1990 to 2007. He retired from Local Government Service on 7th February 2007.
In the year 2000 he received a letter of commendation from the Auditor General Local Government Audit, Kaduna State. And by 2012, he became a Member, Kaduna State Peace And Reconciliation Committee.
He was turbaned as the Wazirin Zazzau on 13th August 2008 by His Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris CFR. Although he held two (2) titles before he was turbaned as Wazirin Zazzau. These are; Dan Galadiman Wazirin Zazzau turbaned in 1992 and Fagachin Zazzau, turbaned in April, 2007.
