Alhaji Yusufu Tijjani Aliyu was turbaned as the Garkuwan Dawakin Zazzau by His Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris CFR on 2nd April 2010, before this title, he was the Galadiman Turaki Aminu Tijjani.
He was born on 18th February 1962 at Tudun-Wada Kaduna, Kaduna State. He acquired his Primary and Secondary education at L.E.A Primary School Kofar Pada, Zaria and Kufena College within the years of 1970 to 1978. From 1978 to 1980, he went to Basawa teacher’s College and he obtained a Grade II Teacher’s Certificate.
He worked at the Staff Training Centre, Kaduna as an Accounting Assistant from 1990 to 1991.
