Madakin Zazzau

Alh. Muhammad Munir Jaafaru OFR, MNI is a man of intellect, an elder statesman. A grate figure that process and shows good conduct toward the immediate society. He descends from the line of the Bare-Bari dynasty of whose father is Sarkin Zazzau Mallam Ja’afaru the 16th emir of Zazzau and the grandson of Sarkin Zazzau Abdullahi the 8th emir of Zazzau, in the Fulani Emirs of Zazzau Dynasty.
Alhaji Munir Jaafar is an indigene of Kaduna state born on the 25th of March, 1956. He attended LEA primary school Anchau Takalafia from 1962 to 1968. And in 1969 he went to Government Secondary School Zaria, and then collage of Art and Science (CAS) Zaria from 1974 to 1976 were he obtain IJMB certificate. And in 1976, he proceeded to pursue his degree in law (LLB Hons) at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria by 1980 he became, considered and solicitor (B.L) after attending the Nigeria law school, Lagos from 1979-1980 Alh. Munir went further to per sue his masters in law (LL.M) in 1983. He became a Member of the Nigeria Institution (MNI) in1991 after attending National Nigeria institution of policy Art strategic studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos 1991. Alh. Munir Jaafaru started as a lecturer from 1981 to 1983 at the Ahmadu Bello University after having obtained his masters in law (LL.M) and from 1983 to1987, he was employed by the Kaduna Co-operative Bank limited as a Company Adviser. He also worked with the Kaduna State Government from 1987.
Moreover a Three time commissioner at Local Government and Community Development, Information, Home Affairs and Culture and then Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources lower the KDSG. He also held the offices of Chairman, State Preparative of Mercy Committee and Amirul Haji, All within the years of 1987 to 1990.
Alhaji Munir Jaafar has been a very committed person, as though even after serving his State, he went ahead to serve his immediate Society and the Nation at large. He has held various offices public and private organizations and as well as ventures nationwide. These includes, Secretary, Nigeria Railway Corporation from 1990-1992. Director General /Chief Executive, National Maritime Authority Lagos. He was the Chairman Nigeria Unity Line Abuja 1995-1996. Principal partner M. M Jaafaru and Associative Kaduna from 1997-1998. Director AFEX Bank plc Lagos 2001-2005. He retired as a Director from Three different organizations that include Gray-Bar Alliance LTD, APTICS NIG. LTD and Elysium Diein. Even as the District Head and Fief Holder of Hanwa District, Sabon-Gari Local Government Area, from 2001 to date, he remained the Director Arriva. Com Nig LTD and Director Spectrum Broadcasting (Nig) Abuja. Alhaji Manir Jaagfaru was a member Federal Government Delegation to Hajj in 2010. Member Presidential Committee of Propagative for Mercy in 2011. He was also a Member of the Business Group and Technical Group of Nigeria Vision 20-20 in the 2009 respectively. Alhaji Mannir Jaafaru OFR, MNI had received various national awards as a result of his diversity in administrative talent, skills and experience compiled with hard work. These awards include.

4. Fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Corporate Administration. 1998.

6. Centre Institute of Transport in Nigeria (Transport Administrator of the Year) 1996.
7. Fellow Nigeria Institute of Purchase and Supply Management 2002.
8. National Honorary Award Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) 2003.
His Highness Alhaji Dr, Shehu Idris C.F.R. Recognise the Humanitarian Services and contributions in all sectors that Alhaji Mannir Jaafaru serve to the community of Zazzau, Kaduna State and the nation at large. Those qualities made His Highness to Award him with the title of Yarima of Zazzau. Yariman Zazzau and he was Promoted with the most senior Tittle for the Royal prince’s and Rank. That is the tittle of Madakin Zazzau. on 6th 0f February, 2021 by the Incumbent Emir, His Highness Amb. Mallam Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli.
Madakin Zazzau, Mallam Mannir Jaafaru is indeed a great icon to the Zazzau Emirate, Kaduna State and to the nation at large. He is happily married with children and grandchildren.
