The Imam of Kona Mallam Muhammadu Sani was born in the year 1939 at Limancin Kona Bakin Kasuwa, Zaria City.
Mallam Muhammadu was taught the knowledge of islam and Qur’an from several scholars. First was his father, the then Imam of Kona Mallam Aliyu who taught him Islamic education and the knowledge of Qur’an. He was also taught the how to read and memorize the Qur’an from a great Islamic scholar Mallam Mahmudu who live at Rimin Kambari, Zaria City.
Mallam Muhammadu Sani was made the Imam of Kona by the Emir of Zazzau Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris after the death of his father, the then Imam of kona Mallam Hussaini in the year 2000 to date. He is currently District Head of Limancin Kona and a full-time council member of the Zazzau Emirate.
